  1. I ONLY HAVE EYES FOR YOU:

Another amazing episode from season 2.

In a way, I find it to be a monster- of-the-week episode, with the ghosts,
while further exploring Buffy and Angel’s relationship. This episode is a
good stepping stone for the season finale.

If Buffy is ever going to defeat Angelus, she needs forgiveness, and this
is what this episode is for. She has to face her guilt over the loss of Angel’s soul. She loved him and feels responsible for what happened to him.

Buffy acts hostile towards James the male ghost, showing signs of her
bitca self from the season premiere When She Was Bad, but as this
episode goes on, it becomes more and more apparent that she’s
    identifying with James.

James killed the woman he loved in a fit of passion, and Buffy destroyed Angel when she slept with him and he lost his soul. James and Buffy both blame themselves and they seem to want the same thing: forgiveness
    from the people they love.

P.S – did anyone else cheer when Spike stood up from the wheelchair?!
    I know i did! =P

  2. I only have eyes for you was the epi that got Angel his own show Joss after seeing david’s acting in this epi made the plans to make the Buffy spin off angel
